The Second Grade Superstars have been busy working on their president research project. Each student researched a president and discovered what made their president so important to our country. The students then created a Movie Maker project using Crazy Talk. We sent a copy of our project to President Barack Obama. I hope he enjoys the show! After their research was done the students got to choose a picture of their animal from Google Images and then create a script using the program Crazy Talk. We then turned it into a movie using Movie maker. The movie was shown to their parents on Cupid Night. Check out the great movie!

A Vision of K-12 Students Today

Greatercott Award

The second grade classes have been learning about the Caldecott Medal and books that have won in the past years. We have been busy trying to pick this year's Caldecott winner. The students have narrowed it down to six books that they believe are worthy of the Caldecott medal. This week we will make our decision on which book we think has the best illustrations. We are getting together with the other second grade classes in the district on February 5th to have a Caldecott party and share our picks! We are very anxious to share this year's Greatercott Book!
