Greatercott Award
The second grade classes have been learning about the Caldecott Medal and books that have won in the past years. We have been busy trying to pick this year's Caldecott winner. The students have narrowed it down to six books that they believe are worthy of the Caldecott medal. This week we will make our decision on which book we think has the best illustrations. We are getting together with the other second grade classes in the district on February 5th to have a Caldecott party and share our picks! We are very anxious to share this year's Greatercott Book!
Laptop Training
Third -Sixth grade students have been learning how to use the new laptop cart. They are loving it. The 5th and 6th grade students did an Internet challenge regarding past presidents and their Inaugurations. The 4th grade students have been researching an Amazing American online and also typing their writing pieces in Word. We are learning a lot about Word!

New Books Have Arrived!
Many new books have arrived at the Greater Plains Library! Stop in to check out what is new. Playaways are now available to 4th-6th grade students. Please make sure your parents have signed the permission slip and understand the cost for replacement. Thank you! Happy Reading
